A New Leash On Life
I was hired to create a brand for a young couple who decided to quit their jobs to start a career hiking dogs!
They were struggling with a name for their new business until I suggested “embark”, a fitting wordplay. They immediately swooned and realized it had a third wordplay that incorporated the wife’s name, Emmely, who also happens to be the pack leader of the company.
I spent time with Emmely to understand her personal style as well as what she wanted her clients and prospective customers to feel. She wanted to have a forest type feel while feeling fun and energetic. I was inspired to give them a bright orange after she sent me a photo one day while dog-hiking that had beautiful crimson and orange mushrooms in the background.
After showing them numerous styles & concepts, they fell in love with the bold orange logo. They felt it most accurately described who they are: playful, friendly and classy.
